The Bird and the Beast

Flutter, Flutter

In the breeze

My prescious nightingale

My love, my joy, my life

See! Her rainbow colored feathers

Shine! Sparkle, glisten in the night light

Marvel! At her elegant eyes

Venus in all her beauty

Yet something rustles impaitently in the undergrowth

Waiting, watching, lurking in the shadow of the moon

Not one nor two but many

A bird whose wings have been plucked

Turned back into the beast it was

Before it evolved into a bird

It becomes a heartless, hateful creature once again

But, my sweet Venus was never a beast

She was always a bird

Her wings just wouldnt grow

So she could fly away

And escape
